• Participant Name — for registration records and participation certificate
• Dance Category — to assign the participant to the correct competition group
• Guru Name — for event coordination and certificate
• Dance School Name — for event coordination and certificate
• Parent / Guardian Email — for all communications regarding the festival
• Parent / Guardian Phone Number — for urgent event-day communication only

We do not collect dates of birth, Social Security numbers, payment card details, or any sensitive personal information.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely for the following purposes:

• Processing and confirming festival registration
• Communicating event details, schedules, and updates to parents/guardians
• Coordinating logistics with dance schools and gurus
• Issuing participation certificates to participants
• Emergency contact on the day of the event

We will never use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to this festival.

4. Payment Information

Registration fees are collected directly from parents/guardians via Zelle, a third-party payment service. We do not collect, store, or process any payment card information on this website.

Zelle transactions are governed by Zelle's own privacy policy and terms of service. We only receive confirmation that payment has been made — no financial data is stored by us.

Refund Policy: Registration fees are non-refundable once registration has been confirmed. If the festival is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, fees will be refunded in full.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

This festival involves participants who may be under the age of 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• All registration information is collected from and submitted by a parent or legal guardian — not the child directly
• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13
• We do not share children's information with any third parties
• Parents may request to review, update, or delete their child's information at any time

6. How We Share Your Information

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain registration information only for as long as necessary to administer the festival and issue certificates. Specifically:

• All form submissions will be deleted from Netlify within 30 days after the festival concludes
• Any locally stored records will be securely deleted after certificates are issued

8. Data Security

Registration forms are submitted via Netlify Forms, which uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, but no system is 100% secure.

Access to submitted registration data is restricted to festival organizers only.
