DMV Youth Bharatanatyam Festival 2026
Your music is the heartbeat of your performance. Please read and follow the steps and guidelines below carefully to ensure your submission is accepted and ready for the stage.
Complete your festival registration on the main site and pay the $60 registration fee via Zelle. Your private music submission link will be emailed to you only after your registration is confirmed.
You will receive a private Google Form link via email. Sub Junior, Junior, Interim, and Group Dance participants must upload one MP3 file Senior participants must submit Two MP3 files.
Your music file(s) will be kept strictly confidential and only used on the day of the event. Files will not be shared under any circumstances.
You will receive an email confirmation once your music file(s) have been received and verified. If you do not receive confirmation within 72 hours, please contact us immediately.
Senior: Two MP3 files required — Pada Varanam (4 mins) & Javali/Padam (2 mins), submitted together
Sub Junior, Junior, Interim, & Group Dance: One MP3 file only
Accepted formats: MP3 only — no other formats will be accepted
Maximum file size: 20MB per file
File naming: FirstName_LastName_Category (e.g. Sorna_Chidambaram_SubJunior, Sorna_Chidambaram_Junior, Sorna_Chidambaram_Interim , GroupName)
File naming for Seniors:
FirstName_LastName_Senior_Varnam
and
FirstName_LastName_Senior_Javali / FirstName_LastName_Senior_Padam
e.g. Sorna_Chidambaram_Senior_Varnam and Sorna_Chidambaram_Senior_Javali / Sorna_Chidambaram_Senior_Padam
Audio quality: Clear, clean recording — no distortion, clipping, or background noise
Single continuous track: One uninterrupted audio file per submission — no playlists or folders
Submission deadline: Both files must be submitted before November 11, 2026
No replacements: Files cannot be changed or replaced after the submission deadline has passed
The music submission link is never posted publicly on this website — it is emailed exclusively to confirmed registered participants
The Google Form requires a Google account sign-in to prevent unauthorized or anonymous uploads
Uploads are restricted by file type and size — only accepted audio formats and sizes will be allowed through
All submitted files are stored securely and are accessible only to festival organizers
All files will be permanently deleted from storage within 30 days after the festival concludes
